Ethics and Oversight of BDORI Projects
What BDORI Does and Does Not Do
BDORI focuses on education, self-monitoring, and outcomes tracking. We do NOT provide medical care, diagnose conditions, or replace any clinician. Our programs are educational, not clinical. We encourage all participants to maintain their existing relationships with healthcare providers and never recommend medication changes based solely on program participation.
Core Participant Protections
Participation in any BDORI program or study is entirely voluntary and does not affect access to the program itself. Compensation, when offered, is clearly explained in advance. Participants may withdraw at any time without penalty.
Privacy and Data Handling
Anonymous program use is available for those who prefer it. Research data is de-identified before analysis. Access to raw data is limited to authorized team members and research partners operating under appropriate agreements.
Ethics Review and Oversight
BDORI seeks Institutional Review Board (IRB) review when required by the nature of the study. The oversight body is clearly identified for each project. We are committed to transparency in our research methods and findings.
