Advancing Evidence-Based Understanding of Bipolar Functionality
BDORI supports and conducts independent research on improving real-world outcomes for people living with bipolar and depressive conditions. Our goal is to validate educational approaches that teach functionality, awareness, and stability across mood states.
Current Focus
Our current research priorities include measuring the impact of education and self-assessment on functionality, analyzing real-world data for early indicators of stability and progress, and developing metrics that go beyond symptom reduction to capture meaningful life outcomes.
Collaborations
We collaborate with universities, clinicians, and data scientists on IRB-approved studies. Our research partnerships are designed to bring scientific rigor to the study of bipolar functionality while centering the experiences of those who live with these conditions.
Past & Foundational Work
Early studies involved thousands of participants exploring the relationship between self-awareness, education, and functional outcomes. This foundational work continues to inform our current research design and priorities.
Partner With Us
We welcome collaboration with researchers, clinicians, and institutions interested in advancing the science of bipolar functionality.
